Loving Pastel Style But Not Ready to Commit—How About Turquoise on Your Nails?
This season is one of the most versatile I’ve seen for colors in fashion. There is something for everyone. If you want to go blinding bright, there’s neon. If you prefer something soothing, you can wrap yourself in the pastel offerings.
I’ve always loved pink pastels and was thrilled to see them in this season’s palette…but this season, the turquoise color has caught my eye (it’s like a pastel but is strikingly bright) and I see it everywhere. Unfortunately, I think it’s going to be around for about a half second so I don’t really want to buy clothing in the color. Fortunately, there are ways to enjoy the trendy colors without bulking up your closet.
How about using your nails to display this season’s palette?
I’m amazed at the range of colors that are now available for your nails. I’m usually pretty conservative on my nails because I’m a consultant for conservative companies but, frankly, I’m also bored of the colors that I’ve been wearing year in and year out and I’m ready to experiment. I’ve done pink before but what about turquoise?
Have a look at my inspirations and my end result. I’m rocking this new look and expressing my wild child side.  What’s next? Neons?
P.S. I just bought this pale pink watch yesterday while I was waiting for my mani-pedi appointment. It’s from Charming Charlies. I love how big it is. The color on my nails is Turquoise Caicos from Essie.
